Martha tells Sindi that if she’s not bringing business to the hotel, she must go. Mpendulo rejects Karabo in front of the whole class. Milly tells him that everyone thinks he’s gay.

Mandla quizzes Fanyana about whether Mpendulo has anything to do with Milly wanting to go to the rec centre after school. Leroy learns that Caesar invited Thandiswa to tour the mine.

Thandiswa and Caesar arrive at the old mine with the engineer and make their way into the elevator shaft. When they reach the first level, rocks fall overhead and trap them.

Caesar reveals to Thandiswa that there’s a chance they won’t make it out of the mine shaft alive. Millicent and Mpendulo make plans to meet at the rec centre, but he doesn’t pitch.
