Two people are at odds with each other in Mismatched: Shaurya and Anokhi.
This is what you need to know about them…
He’s a low life misogynist from a royal family who believes women shouldn’t work or study, and she’s a woman who wants to do just that.
Shaurya’s bigoted beliefs have arisen because he feels he was deserted by his mother Aastha, who left him to pursue a career and take care of her elderly parents.
She left him unwillingly and he was raised by his aunt and uncle who informed his oppressive belief system and values.
In contrast to Shaurya, Anokhi fights the patriarchy by insisting on an education and actively pursuing it.
She goes to college where she meets Shaurya’s mother Aastha who’s become a professor. Aastha teaches Anokhi and they form a bond, which is how Anokhi and Shaurya meet.
Shaurya and Anokhi get close after Aastha suffers a life threatening injury and Shaurya reveals that he cares about his mother.
With this new awareness, he falls in love with Anokhi.
In between it all, both Shaurya and Anokhi almost marry and actually marry other people, with disastrous consequences.

Episode 1
Meet the Sabherwals, a royal family of Chandigarh. As Shaurya Sabherwal gets ready for his engagement with Shagun, he gets unexpected news from her.
Episode 2
Rama slaps Anokhi when she arrives home late and argues with the family. Elsewhere, the Sabherwals are unable to come to terms with Shagun’s decision.

Episode 3
Anokhi’s elder sister, Babli returns home after getting beaten by her husband. On the other hand, Shagun and her family apologise to the Sabherwals.
Episode 4
Anokhi manages to sneak away from her house as she aims to win the competition. Meanwhile, Shaurya breaks all ties with Shagun and her family.

Episode 5
Anokhi wins the trophy on behalf of her college while Shaurya meets Aastha on stage. Later, Aastha recollects her discouraging past with the Sabherwals.
Episode 6
Anokhi supports Aastha when Shaurya behaves rudely with her. On the other hand, Monty and his parents visit the Bhallas to meet Anokhi.

Episode 7
Ramesh slaps Babli after learning the truth about Anokhi. In a fit of rage, Ramesh crushes Anokhi’s cycle and does the unthinkable.
Episode 8
The Bhallas fume in rage when Anokhi remains adamant about pursuing her studies rather than getting married. Meanwhile, Aastha grows concerned for Anokhi.
